Future Husker University

Since 2018, the Nebraska Alumni Association has welcomed Nebraska alumni and fans and future Huskers to Future Husker University supported by First National Bank of Omaha. This annual event allows participants a unique learning experience on Nebraska’s campuses.

Participants experience the day in the life of today’s Huskers through engaging classes, tours, and visits to the dining hall while creating unforgettable memories with their loved ones. Future Husker University attendees participate in two classes lead by the university’s colleges and departments, enjoy lunch in the new Cather Dining Center and end their day with a graduation ceremony. Participants also have the option of arriving a day early for a behind-the-scenes look at campus and stay in a residence hall. In between scheduled activities, participants have time to explore campus on their own and even stock up on UNL Bookstore goodies.

Eligibility

Future Husker University is for children 7 years old to 13 years old and who are accompanied by at least one adult. Nebraska Alumni Association members will receive a discounted registration price. To join or renew your membership, click here. Adults do not have to be Nebraska alumni. One child may be accompanied by up to two adults and one adult may bring up to two children. Note: If an adult brings two children it is expected that all three participate in the same college courses. We require children to be with an adult at all times.

Sessions

Adults and children will be asked their preferences on the registration form but will be assigned to only three sessions. Session assignments will be announced on the day of the event.

Location

Future Husker University is an opportunity for alumni and future Huskers to visit both East and City Campus. Participants should plan to walk around campus to get to the different activities throughout the day. Comfortable shoes and clothing are highly suggested.

Price

The cost of Future Husker University includes lunch, parking, class courses, swag and snacks. Note: The residence hall is an added cost.

Adult NAA Member: $50
Adult non-NAA Member: $80
Child: $50
Thursday activity and dinner: $20/person
Thursday night residence hall: $100/unit (each unit holds up to 4 people)
Friday night residence hall: $100/unit (each unit holds up to 4 people)

Accommodations for all activities hosted at Future Husker University can be made for those who need special assistance. Please include specific accommodations on your registration form.

Cancellations and Refunds

The Nebraska Alumni Association will not offer refunds to attendees who cancel within two weeks of Future Husker University.
