The Nebraska Alumni Association's mission is to promote the achievements and aspirations of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln by engaging its students, alumni and friends.
The Nebraska Alumni Association is the trusted heart and home for alumni engagement at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The association works collaboratively with its campus partners to transform alumni pride and loyalty into action for the advancement of our university.
Who we are
The Nebraska Alumni Association is a nonprofit organization that connects (or re-connects) alumni with their alma mater, and with each other, for the betterment of the university. Our family includes nearly 90 alumni chapters and affiliate groups, and approximately 25,000 members of all ages, professions and walks of life. Some are UNL graduates; some are not. They live in all corners of the country and around the world. But one thing unites them - their love for the University of Nebraska.
What we do
Our members share a love for the university. But more often than not, their interests lie in a variety of areas. Maybe it's athletics or the arts; scholarships, research or a specific college. Perhaps they want to get involved or volunteer, but aren't sure where to begin. That's where we come in. The alumni association offers dozens of programs, events, groups and opportunities designed to connect alumni and friends with university and alumni community interests. This alumni involvement inevitably leads to progress on campus.
Why we do it
A united alumni base is needed to continue to support the university's progress. And a stronger university means a stronger Nebraska, today and for future generations. Thousands of Nebraska high school students choose to come to UNL. Many graduate and work or start businesses in Nebraska. Research funding and projects like the new Nebraska Innovation Campus create Nebraska jobs. The economic strength of our state is, indeed, closely tied to the strength of the University of Nebraska.
