As associate executive director, Shelley Zaborowksi is the secretary for the association's Executive Board of Directors and Alumni Advisory Council and manages a variety of events and programs, including alumni career services, Big Red Weekend, Masters Week, Alumni Awards and Cather Circle, which she helped develop.
Zaborowski has been at the Nebraska Alumni Association for the past 15 years. During her tenure, Zaborowski has also worked with the Student Alumni Association (now Scarlet Guard) and the Scarlet and Cream Singers.
A native of Omaha, Neb., Zaborowski is a two-time graduate of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. As an undergraduate, she was elected UNL Homecoming Queen in 1995. Zaborowski earned a master's in education in 2000. She received a Council of Alumni Association Executives Forman Fellowship in 2007 and the Lincoln Business Journal's "40 Under 40" Award in 2006.
Shelley and her husband Keith have two children, Madeline, 9, and Ethan, 8.
